I had several in my pickups. Beat them up on a normal basis in the dunes and they kept going. Actually had the rare 22re Turbo that rocked as well

The 20R was slightly better then the 22R but both very durable engines. I had 4 Celica's, 3 P/U's & a 4Runner. But this went from a 5sp to a 4sp & the 22R only puts out around 100HP give or take. Not sure this is an improvement overall.
