SOLD - Good used cylinder head from a non-running '85 X1/9 1500 FI engine. Fiat casting #5985590, date stamped 1984. Combustion chambers are in good shape with no cracks or other damage, just the usual carbon build-up. Chamber #4 cleaned up well using just some carb cleaner & a toothbrush, chamber #3 was coming along nicely until my hand started cramping (I gave up), chambers #2 & #1 got a few shots of carb cleaner just so I could better verify their general condition. Head surface also looks good with no damage.

All original cylinder head bolts/washers & cambox bolts/washers are included (plus a single replacement OEM short cambox bolt), as well as 1 pair of manifolds-to-cylinder head gaskets (tan), 1 pair of FI intake port gaskets (blue) & the pair of sensors shown fitted to the head above spark plug hole #2. The heater hose metal elbow tube is rusted-through on the outer end. 3 bolts/studs snapped off when removing the head & will need to be drilled out/removed; 1 short front cambox mounting bolt (above spark plug #1), 1 lower exhaust manifold mounting stud (cylinder #4 exhaust port) & 1 thermostat housing mounting bolt (lower/exhaust side).

It's been a while since I've reviewed cylinder head. I have a few specs missing on this specific part number. I see this is a M12 10 bolt head? What are those sensors specifically and which bung is over on the right not drilled and tapped?

I'll have to re-check to verify, but I believe it's an M10 10-bolt pattern? (all bolts, no studs)

What are those sensors specifically and which bung is over on the right not drilled and tapped?

These are the 2 sensors fitted to this head:

The larger sensor is a Fuel Injection thermo-time switch, Bosch part #0280130214, dated 11/83, with 12V/40W 35°C/8 sec. rating, 2 parallel spade terminals labeled "G" & "W".

The smaller sensor is a 1-wire engine coolant temp sensor, stamped "FIAT 12V 5A MF416 MAFER" (or MABER? Hard to read).

The untapped port above spark plug #3 was used on earlier carbed 1500 & 1300 heads, usually fitted with a sensor or reed valve as part of the smog/emissions system IIRC.
